Just a quick post to say that I’ve recently purchased the popular news-orientated site Game Maker Blog. This is a major acquisition for me, as GMB represents the media powerhouse within the GameMaker community despite the recent activity on the site. I had considered making an offer for the blog many times in the past, but until seeing the success of this blog I had avoided it. I simply wasn’t confident that I could blog to a high-enough standard or frequently enough over a long period of time.
While I don’t post as often as I’d like here at Touch To Start, I’ve managed to be somewhat consistent in delivering decent quality articles over the past few months. I believe I’ll be able to maintain a level of activity on both sites and restore GMB to its former glory within the GameMaker community.
In the coming days I’ll be making a more detailed post over at the GMB to explain my plans for the site, so keep an eye out for that if the ownership change is of interest to you. Check out Philip’s farewell post for more info.
